Zamek Bannerman znajduje się na wyspie Pollepel w rzece Hudson. Został zbudowany w 1901 roku z zamiarem przechowywania zapasów wojskowych po wojnie hiszpańskiej.
Niestety, w 1920 roku, 200 funtów amunicji eksplodowało i zniszczyło większość zamku. Nie zaplanowano jego odbudowy, a zamek Bannerman został w dużej mierze opuszczony.
