Mikayla Holmgren is not only a trendsetter, she has set a precedent in history. The Minnesota native is the first woman with Down syndrome to compete in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant. During that competition, Mikayla won two awards and ended up in the news for her heroic efforts. La Ostergren
It’s been a tough ride for La Ostergren, who claims to have been bullied at school because of her 40-inch long legs. “When I was born, my legs were crooked because they didn’t have enough room in my mother’s womb,” she said. Since 2013, Ostergren has been on a strict fitness program and has documented all her movements on Instagram. By 2019, the model had reached 239,000 followers and seeing that she has many fans in Russia, she began writing her hashtags in Russian as well.
