The Last House on Holland Island – USA
Here is a house that was once a very successful colonial island! It was located in Chesapeake Bay, which suffered from coastal mud erosion. Over time, the island began to crumble!
For a while, this was the last property on the island. People could marvel from a distance at its seclusion. As you can see, the birds loved it! Sadly, it collapsed in 2010.
House of the Bulgarian Communist Party – Bulgaria
This is what the former barracks of the Bulgarian Communist Party look like. It looks just like a den of James Bond villains from the outside, and the inside is no different! The building is literally in the shape of a flying saucer.
The building as such was in use from 1981 to 1991. The party collapsed after the fall of the Soviet Union and no one has taken control of this site. It is now a single, empty room, although there are plans to restore it.
