Dome Homes – Florida, USA
These domes were built on the coast of Marco Island in 1980. Originally planned as vacation homes, they were battered by hurricanes and ultimately deteriorated. Coastal agencies have determined that they are too expensive to repair, leaving them abandoned.
Today, it’s almost impossible to find one of these dome houses that hasn’t crumbled over the ocean. Would you have liked to see them fully operational? We thought they were incredible!
Villa – Lake Como, Italy
The strange thing about this villa on Lake Como is the complete mystery behind it. Locals know that this villa was built approximately in the 1800s, but there is no record of it.
Rumor has it that the house was abandoned after a horrific murder or suicide – but, even so, no one knows. Today, they leave it alone and visitors are advised to stay away from it. To us, it looks like the scene of a new horror movie!
