Pripyat – Ukraine
This city was created and inaugurated on February 4, 1970. Pripyat is located near the border with Belarus and is a Soviet nuclear city. At the time, it was home to many workers who were transported to Chernobyl.
After the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, the entire city was evacuated due to extremely high levels of radiation. Until today, visitors are allowed – but only with an escort and you should check your radiation levels later. You have been warned!
Kilchurn Castle – Scotland
Today, Kilchurn Castle is one of the most photographed castles in the world. It was built in the 1400s and has sadly been allowed to deteriorate since the 1700s. The untouched property attracts people from all over the world, who marvel at its incredible presence even though it has been neglected for 300 years.
In its time, it was home to some of the most influential families and officials when they visited the country. It’s something we can imagine in the next James Bond film!
